III.EligibilityRequirements

1.Non-ChinesecitizenswithavalidpassportaspertheNationalityLawofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaareeligibleforapplication.Applicantsmustapplyoftheirownaccord,abidebythelawsandregulationsofthePeople’sRepublicofChina,complywiththerulesandregulationsofHPEC,andrespectlocalcustoms.2.Applicantsmustbeagedover18,female,holdingahighschooldiplomaorabove,andaChineseproficiencycertificateofHSKBand4orabove.Thosewithoutsuchacertificatemayattendpreparatorycoursesforhalftooneyearbeforestartingcollegeeducation.3.Applicantsmustbeingoodhealthandwithoutanyinfectiousdisease.4.ApplicantsmustmeettherequirementsforthepreschooleducationprogramstipulatedintheGuidingOpinionsonPhysicalExaminationofStudentsinGeneralInstitutionsofHigherLearningofthePeople’sRepublicofChina.(SeeAppendix4)

V.ScholarshipandBursaryPolicies

1.“StudyinHefei”GovernmentScholarship:40,000RMB/yearHPEChelpseligiblestudentsapplyforthe“StudyinHefei”governmentscholarship.Thescholarshipisawardedonceayear,andeachpersonhasoneopportunityforapplicationayear.Thecriteriaarespecifiedintheapplicationregulations.Studentswhoreceivethescholarshipmustpayfortuition,accommodationandinsuranceandtheyarenoteligibleforcollegescholarshipsandgrants.Thosewhofailtogainthescholarshipcanenjoycollegescholarships,bursariesandothergrants.
