一、学校简介
华侨大学位于中国福建省厦门和泉州，创办于1960年。

二、汉语言专业介绍
（一）学历教育
华文学院是华侨大学面向海外和港澳台地区开展华文教育、汉语国际教育以及预科教育的专门学院。华文学院前身为集美华侨学生补习学校，创办于1953年，1997年并入华侨大学。华文学院是中国教育部首批公布有资格招收外国留学生的单位，是国家汉办支持周边国家汉语教学的重点学校，是国家在福建省最早设立的汉语水平考试考点。学院拥有一支热爱华文教育事业、熟悉海外学生特点的专业化教师队伍。华文学院现有“华语与华文教育”、“语言学及应用语言学”2个学术硕士点和“汉语国际教育”专业硕士点；汉语国际教育、华文教育、汉语言三个本科专业以及汉语言专科专业。
汉语言学历教育招收具有高中毕业以上程度，品行端正、身体健康，年龄原则上不超过30周岁，持有效护照的海外华人、外国留学生。
设有四年制本科、二年制专科，其中汉语言本科开设汉语文化、商务汉语、旅游汉语三个方向，全面开展汉语听、说、读、写、译等专项技能与综合技能训练，传授汉语言知识和中华文化知识，培养具备扎实的汉语言语能力与跨文化交际能力，系统掌握汉语基础理论，了解中国国情与社会文化，熟悉中华文化国际传播或国际现代商务或旅游经营管理知识，能够胜任用汉语进行文化交流、经贸洽谈、旅游服务等工作的素质全面的应用型人才。

（三）非学历汉语学习班
预科教育学院负责承担中国政府奖学金本科来华留学生及其他来华留学预科生教育培养工作，并在此基础上承担中文零起点海外华裔新生代、外国留学生、公务人员和行业精英的中文速成教育。学院现有基础中文、科技中文、文科中文、数学、物理、化学、中华文化等专业课程的专兼职教师20多名，有来自50多个国家的各类留学生300多名。2020和2021连续两年在中国教育部来华留学预科生教育结业考试中获得了考核合格率100%的优异成绩。
开设半年期、一年期非学历汉语学习班，招收具有高中以上程度，年满16岁，持有效护照的海外华侨华人、外国留学生。
课程内容：
主要课程有综合汉语、汉语听力、汉字训练、汉语口语、文科/科技汉语等。第一学期为汉语强化阶段，第二学期可选学数学、物理、化学、历史、地理等课程。
教学模式：
采用精讲多练、个性化辅导、小班教学（15人/班）相结合的教学模式，通过大课时量、大输入量的教学措施，为学生营造“沉浸式”汉语学习和使用环境，每月进行学习效果测试。
课程优势：
通过短时、高效、强化的学习方式，全面提升学生汉语水平、专业知识储备及跨文化交际能力等，从而达到进入中国高校专业阶段学习的标准。
奖励机制：
可申请华侨大学2022年国际中文教师奖学金。具体申请办法及资助标准请参照附件《华侨大学2022年国际中文教师奖学金线上汉语项目招生简章》，并于5月15日前登录国际中文教师奖学金报名网站（cis.***）提交奖学金申请（接收院校选择“华侨大学”）。
具有高中学历、强化学习一年成绩合格者可免试升读华侨大学各类本科专业，成绩优良者还可申请华侨大学留学生奖助学金。
三、开学时间与入学申请手续
（一）开学时间: 每学年分上、下两个学期, 上学期9月初开学，下学期2月中、下旬开学。
（二）入学申请办法:
1．通过网上报名系统（https://admissions.***.cn/）申请并上传相关材料或填写《华侨大学外国留学生入学申请表》（附后），连同两寸照片、护照复印件、高中毕业证书（英文）复印件、成绩单（英文）复印件等一起发到华侨大学招生处邮箱（hquwz）。
2．一般情况下，招生处收到申请表两个月后，将 “JW202”表和“录取通知书” 一并寄给学生。学生持“JW202”表和“录取通知书”到中国大使馆办理来华学习签证（X1、X2）。学生入学后一周内必须到学院学生办公室，办理住宿登记、保险、身体检查、外国人居留证等相关手续，费用自理。若因新冠肺炎疫情无法办理来华学习签证，则采用线上学习方式。

Introduction to Chinese Language Programs
1. Degree Programs
Chinese Language and Culture College shoulders the responsibility of conducting Chinese Language and Culture Education, Chinese International Education and college-prep education for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students and international students. The College, former Jimei Overseas Chinese Tutoring School, was founded in 1953 and was incorporated into Huaqiao University in 1997. The College is one of the first institutions accredited by MOE to enroll overseas students in China and is designated by NOCFL to assist the neighboring countries with Chinese language teaching. It is China's earliest HSK exam place in Fujian. The college enjoys professional teaching and auxiliary staff who are committed to Chinese culture and language education and are excelling in teaching overseas students. The college offers two academic Master's programs in Chinese Language and Chinese Culture Education, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and one professional Master's program in Chinese International Education; three bachelor-degree programs in Chinese International Education, Chinese Language and Culture Education, and Chinese Language; and a junior college program in Chinese Language.
Chinese Language Degree Programs recruit overseas Chinese and foreign candidates with senior high school diploma or above, with valid passports, aged less than 30.
We offer four-year undergraduate program and two-year junior college program in Chinese Language. The four-year undergraduate program in Chinese Language includes three different tracks: Chinese Culture, Business Chinese and Tourism Chinese. Teaching is focused on training students’ comprehensive skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation to enable them to master Chinese language and Chinese culture. It aims at training high-quality talents with excellent Chinese language proficiency, cross-culture communicative competence, systematic knowledge of Chinese language, good understanding of China’s national condition and social culture. 2. Non-degree Programs
Preparatory Education College is responsible for the preparatory education of Chinese Government Scholarship students and other international students. It also offers Chinese training for Chinese language beginners of overseas Chinese, foreign students, public officials, etc. The college has over 20 teachers for courses such as basic Chinese, scientific and technological Chinese, liberal arts Chinese, mathematics, physics, chemistry, Chinese culture, etc. There are more than 300 international students from over 50 countries. All its Chinese Government Scholarship students have passed the MOE's Completion Examination for Preparatory Students for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021.
Non-degree programs include one-semester Chinese language program and one-academic-year Chinese language program, recruiting overseas Chinese and foreign candidates with senior high school diploma or above, with valid passports, aged over sixteen.
Course Arrangement:
The main courses include Comprehensive Chinese, Chinese Listening, Chinese Character Writing, Spoken Chinese, Science/Technology Chinese, etc. The first semester features intensive language study. In the second semester, students can also choose Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and other courses.
Teaching Mode:
The teaching model features meticulous teaching, enough practice, personalized guidance and small-class teaching (15 students/class). Intensive courses and big input are adopted to create an immersive Chinese learning and using environment for students. Tests are conducted every month.
Course Advantages:
The programs help improve students' Chinese competence and cross-cultural communication skills so as to qualify them for further degree studies in Chinese institutes of higher education.

Students with high school degree will be given the priority to being admitted to the undergraduate programs of HQU after successfully complete the program. Those with good academic performance can apply for the overseas students scholarship.
School Calendar and Application Procedures
1. School Calendar: An academic year includes two semesters. The first semester begins in early September and the second in mid or late February.
2. How to Apply:
1) Please log on the application website (https://admissions.***.cn/) to apply or fill out the Application Form ( attached below) and email it to the Admissions Office (hquwz@***.cn) together with a photocopy of valid passport, English version of high school graduation certificate, transcripts, etc.
2) Generally speaking, the Admission Office will send the JW202 Form and Acceptance Letter to students within two months after receiving the application. Students should apply for study visa (X1, X2) at the local Chinese Embassy with the JW202 Form and Acceptance Letter. Within one week after entering China, students should go to the Students Affairs Office to settle their residence registration, insurance, physical examination and residence permit. The expenses have to be paid by students themselves. If students fail to come to China due to COVID-19 pandemic, they will take the online courses.

1. Freshmen of Chinese Language can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship and Fujian Government Scholarship. The Colleges also set up scholarships for distinguished students. The first class prize is RMB 8,000; the second RMB 6,000, the third prize RMB 4,000. The scholarship is awarded once a year. Students with excellent academic performance can receive scholarships. Besides, the colleges provide financial aid to students in need with three levels of subsidy: RMB 6,000, RMB 5,000, and RMB 4,000.
