4.ChineseLanguageRequirements

ApplicantsshouldhavethebasicknowledgeofChinese,andproviderelevantChinesecertificateorstudycertificates.

AneffectiveHSKcertificate(level4,mark200)isrequiredforanapplicantfortheMasterDegreeprogram.AneffectiveHSKcertificate(level3,mark180)isrequiredforanapplicantforthePhDprogram.

5.Eligibility

Theapplicantmustbenon-Chinesewithavalidpassport,beingoodhealthandhavenocriminalrecord,willobserveallthelawsofChinaaswellastherulesandregulationsofGAU.FortheInternationalstudentswhoisinChina.

Educationalbackgroundandagerequirementsoftheapplicant:

ApplicantsforMasterDegreestudiesmustfinishaBachelor’sDegreeoritsequivalentandagedunder36.

ApplicantsforDoctoralDegreestudiesmustfinishaMaster’sDegreeoritsequivalentandagedunder42.

ApprovalandEnrollment:

GAUwillorganizeacommitteetoreviewalltheapplicationmaterials,makethedecisionwhethertoadmittheapplicants.ThenamesofmatriculatedapplicantswillbepublishedandmatriculatedapplicantswillreceiveAdmissionNoticeofGAUandVisaApplicationforStudyinChina(i.e.:JW202Form)for“X1”visaapplicationintheChineseembassy.AlltheInternationalstudentsmatriculatedinGAUareresponsiblefortheirvisaapplicationontheirown.

Openingtime:September2022;StudentsmustreporttotheUniversityontimewiththeletterofadmission.Thosewhofailtofulfilltheextensionproceduresandreportformorethan15dayswillbedisqualified.

Fees

Forself-fundedstudents,pleaserefertothechargingstandardforinternationalstudentsofGansuAgriculturalUniversity(Annex3)

GAUsetstheGAUPresidentScholarshipforMaterandDoctoral(priority)applicantswhichincludes:

Doctoralprofessionalstudystage:freetuitionandaccommodation(4years);andprovide1000yuan/monthlivingallowance(atotalof10months,exceptwinterandsummervacation,3years).

Masterprofessionalstudystage:freetuitionandaccommodation(3years),andprovide1000yuan/monthlivingallowance(atotalof10months,exceptwinterandsummervacation,allthree3years).

Otherexpenses,e.g.,registrationfee,physicalexamfee,bookfee,insurancefeeandotherexpensewillbeaffordedbystudents.
